Highlights

Since the wallpaper gallery at Kainashi is so large, Sayuri decided to choose five walls out of the rest to be "featured" each month. The main difference between this page and the wall gallery itself is that this has insights into the making of the walls themselves [for example, most of Chris's Shinkai walls are hand-painted; most people mistake them as glorified scans].

Comments :: this wall is Justin and I's baby [err, not literally >.<;;]; I vectored the Suzumiya crew and Justin hand-made the BG [and that includes that gorrrrgeous sky]. This wall just reeks of awesome-ness, and though the thumbnail isn't anything particularly special, the wall, once in full-view, is absolutely amazing. This is definitely a collab I don't regret. Plus it's named after a Klaxons song; naming doesn't get much better than that <3

Comments :: I just stated that naming doesn't get much better than a Klaxons song, right? The only exception is when it's named after a MUSE song. This wall is absolutely gorgeous; Banksie is really good at scenic walls, and this wall definately pulls through. The lighting in this is just amazing; the colors match up perfectly. The series ends on a melancholy note, and this wall captures it really nicely.

Comments :: Chris is getting into a lot of different types of walling lately, and out of his newer creations, this has got to be my favorite. It takes a character who's been walled a lot, and adds a new spin to it. Plus it reminds me of those old art projects [the multi-colored crayon BGs with a layer of black crayon on top; getting nostalgic anyone?] that amused me endlessly as a young kid. This wall looks somewhat like Celeste's Electric Kool-Aid wall, which is definately not something bad to be compared to too.

Comments :: sometimes I want to tell Justin to stop being so good. This wall is one of those reasons why. Firstly, this is probably his second or so character vector, and already he's getting godly-good. Secondly, look at those flames; they fit the wall perfectly, and they're absolutely gorgeous. Thirdly, the lighting in this wall is impeccable. His BG fits the character's position and the colors in this wall are amazing as well. Looking at this, one can only wonder what else he'll wall in the future.

Comments :: who loves Yotsuba? I DO! And as the season's changing into summer now, I was reminded of this cleverly-conceptualized wall. It's very nicely made, as the style of the wall fits the nature of the wall; Sora doesn't try to make the wall super-detailed to keep to the spirit of simplicity and whimsical-ness. I love this wall, and I know whoever uses it will too.
