Kainashi started out a long, long time ago as a site hosted on Freewebs called "The Phantom Spider", as Sayuri's obsession of the time was Hunter x Hunter. Then, a few months after TPS opened, her mother graciously bought her a domain, Oniyuri.net, which she set up as an animanga media, graphics and hosting site under the name Kamikaze. However, as the new year rolled around, the space on Oniyuri began to shrink, and so Sayuri decided to pack up the media and graphics portions of the site and haul them over to the subdomain provided by the almighty Zen. K changed her name to Sayuri, as it was a direct translation of her real name anyways.

Kainashi, by the way, is Japanese for "worthless/useless". Sayuri though it'd be a cooler, and more appropriate name than say, "Eternally Yours Designs [insert sparkles]" or something sugary. She chose the name mostly so she could use the cheesy slogan "Useless by name... awesome by nature!".

Invidia is the Latin word for "Envy", since that's what people feel towards Kainashi. We hope.

The layout features Sora and Rika from "Air Gear", the awesome manga by Oh!Great. The image is from Trick 42, when Rika first joins Sleeping Forest. Sayuri ripped the design off of her Air Gear wallpaper [because it was so stylin'], and the lyrics and the name of the layout are from the Switchfoot song "Oh! Gravity" [which isn't actually that good]. Special thanks to Candy-chan from Minitokyo for telling Sayuri about the wonders of said layout design.
